March 2022 TBR

How are we already into the third month of the year!? In just a few weeks, 2022 will be a quarter over. I don’t understand! Regardless of how quickly time is flying by, I’m really on a roll with my reading this year. I’ve got a stack of 4 going on 5 books that I’ve got backlogged to review. Hopefully I can knock some of those off the to-do list before I add my March reads to them.

My March reading list is another stack of books that have nothing to do with one another...

  • The Hobbit - I’m wrapping up The Hobbit right at the beginning of this month. Spoiler alert - 5 star read. I love it!
  • Don’t Tell Alfred - I like to pick up a Nancy Mitford novel each year and Don’t Tell Alfred is up next! Mitford is so funny and I love to read her to balance out some of the more … intense novels that I tend to gravitate towards.
  • Catch 22 - Rebekah and I are on to our next buddy read after finishing Dracula! Ok, why is this book so chunky?. I feel like Catch 22 is a 20th century classic that I must read before I die, so here we are.
  • The Idiot - I’m reading this novel for my Millennial authors reading project I’m doing. Batuman isn’t really a millennial but I can do some cross over because the themes I’m anticipating are relevant. Also some Gen X straddle the line. I’m surprised to say that I’m enjoying this novel so far, even thought as of this post, I’m less that 100 pages in. It’s actually pretty funny.
  • To the Lighthouse - My Woolf for the year! A short volume, but you know how Woolf is - her writing takes some patience. I know some people who prefer this one to Mrs. Dalloway so I’m really curious to see how I get on with it.
  • The Stranger from the Sea [audio] - I’m back to making my way through Winston Graham’s Poldark series and this is the 8th installment. I need some Ross and Demelza drama back in my like and these two always have a lot of drama.

What are you reading this month?
