About Me

Welcome to my blog! My name is Alana and I’m excited that you decided to take some time out of your day to spend with me. 

I currently have a career in local government. I like girly things and fast cars; painting my nails and watching football (that would be American football and futbol. I don’t discriminate!). I  throughly enjoy knitting and changing my accent just to throw people off; drinking all the tea I can get my hands on and dancing by myself. I enjoy reading a good novel and people-watching; eating pizza and talking back to the TV. 

I started this blog because I wanted an outlet for my many interests and hobbies. I’ve always had quite a few interests, and at times it can be a little daunting to focus on them, especially as life becomes more hectic. My purpose for this blog is to focus on those hobbies. I’m a firm believer in having an outlet for your interests; you never know where they may take you. Why let hobbies get dusty on a shelf? So what if I work full-time? I’m determined to carve out time for what I find enriching, frivolous, thought-provoking, relaxing and fun. 

This blog will feature makeup and skin care reviews, books I’ve read, recipes, knitting and creative projects, luxury product reviews, fashion posts and whatever else I feel like writing. I’ve  followed the beauty and lifestyle community on social media for years now, and I realize have a voice in it as well. A rather sarcastic, blunt and long-winded voice, but a voice nonetheless. You will not find any reviews here repeatedly saying that a product is “like soooo amazing!” We are going to dig deep and use our vocabulary! My goal here is to create intelligent, fun, humorous and engaging content. I invite you to grab cup of tea or coffee and a snack and settle in! Let’s get this show on the road!
